Prepare and Use
Makes: 2 Fruit Crumbles. How much crumble topping to use? Allow 225g of McDougalls Crumble to make 1 crumble (4 - 6 servings). For your crumble: 1. Preheat oven to 180°C, 160°C Fan, Gas Mark 4. 2. Place 454g (1 lb) cooked or canned fruit or pie filling into an ovenproof dish. Top Tip: For fresh fruit, clean, peel, slice and place with 3 tbsp water into your dish. Add 2-3 tbsp of sugar or more if required. 3. Sprinkle over 225g McDougalls Crumble Topping and bake for about 30 minutes until the crumble is golden brown. Top Tip: To make the crumble extra special, dot with a little butter before baking. Blackberry and Apple Crumble Serves: 4-6 1. Layer 200g sliced, peeled apple, 200g washed blackberries, 3 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons water in an ovenproof dish. 2. Cover with 225g McDougalls Crumble Topping and bake as above. Top Tip: Why not replace the blackberries with raspberries for another delicious crumble!
